Paul Cooper - UKISUG Chair

Paul has more than 25 years’ experience working with and managing SAP solutions. Currently Paul is the IT Director at Fox’s Burton’s Companies (FBC-UK) and is leading a number of significant IT and SAP - integration and transformation programmes. Prior to joining Burton's Paul worked for an SAP consultancy and was the Business Systems Director at Northern Foods.

He has been an active member of the User Group for over 15 years co-Chairing the ALM Special Interest Group and joined the Board of Directors in 2011, in 2017 Paul was appointed Chair of UKISUG.




Ryan Poggi - Managing Director, SAP UK & Ireland

As Managing Director, UK & Ireland, Ryan leads the 5,000+ strong UK & Ireland team, executing SAP’s UKI strategy with a focus on driving customer lifetime value, accelerated cloud growth and a superior partner ecosystem experience in the region.

A passionate leader with extensive experience managing organisations and scaling high performing teams across large complex markets, Ryan has held senior executive roles across EMEA and APJ since joining SAP in 2007.

Prior to starting the UKI Managing Director role, Ryan was Chief Business Officer (CBO) for SAP EMEA North, where he was instrumental in launching RISE with SAP across five markets and building the cross-functional teams required for customer success. During this time, Ryan also acted as interim Managing Director for SAP France, helping to set a solid foundation to become a high-performance cloud market unit, and transform the business into a singular team operating across all board areas.

Ryan is no stranger to the UKI, having previously served as COO where he was responsible for overall readiness and execution of SAP’s UKI growth strategy, and delivering lifetime value for customers through strategic partnerships. Prior to this, he has held various leadership roles including Managing Director for SAP Philippines, Director of Global Strategic Initiatives, Legal & Commercial Director and led multiple LoB organisations across Asia and EMEA.

Over the course of his career, Ryan has gained a wealth of experience in leading and growing large-scale multi-complex businesses and has excelled at helping companies understand the business value of technology.

A regular contributor and speaker, Ryan is passionate about inspiring and empowering the next generation of young talent and using business as a catalyst for positive social and environmental impact, having previously been Board Member for Enactus UK. He holds an Honours degree in Strategic Management (cum laude) and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Law from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa.

Fatima Whitbread

Fatima Whitbread, MBE is a world javelin champion, world record holder and twice Olympic medallist. After Fatima’s inspirational career as an athlete, the former BBC Sports Personality of the Year winner headed the Chafford Hundred elite runners club whose members included Linford Christie and Dame Kelly Holmes.

Fatima is an engaging speaker who talks about her rise to success as an Olympic medallist and the trials and tribulations as she reached her goal. In addition, she talks animatedly about her TV career from I’m a Celebrity to her more recent documentaries.
