Better resilience starts with better decisions. In this practitioner-led dialogue, Candice Croydon (Business Continuity Partner), Adam Biggs (Crisis Manager), and Gareth Swift (BCDR Manager) discuss how Smart DCC assessed its resilience capabilities and made purposeful strategic decisions to improve how future resilience, continuity, recovery, and crisis management can be optimised across a complex, regulatory driven environment. The session explores how maturity assessments, criticality reviews, stakeholder engagement, governance changes, and validation activities were used not as compliance exercises, but as decision-making tools. Attendees will hear how the organisation identified what mattered most, prioritised effort and investment, and established a framework for making more consistent, evidence-based resilience decisions in the future.
