Overview
Leading through uncertainty with a resilience-first risk strategy
Details
In an era of compounding disruptions, from geopolitical volatility and cyber threats to regulatory pressure and economic instability, the role of the risk leader has fundamentally evolved. Risk management is no longer simply about identifying and avoiding threats. It is about building organisations that can absorb shocks, adapt to change, and emerge stronger.
This keynote explores resilience not as a soft concept or an afterthought to risk strategy, but as a core competency that must be deliberately cultivated alongside, and in deep partnership with, enterprise risk management.
Drawing from the perspective of a seasoned risk leader, this session challenges conventional assumptions about how organisations structure their approach to risk and resilience. Should these disciplines remain siloed, with distinct mandates, or is full integration the path to lasting organisational strength? How does resilience fit within a defined risk appetite, and what does it mean to grow both capacities in tandem?
